The Letter L

L is for lanterns and lighthouses and leaves and LOVE! We were lucky that our L week fell right before Valentine's Day. We spent lots and lots of time making heart crafts last week and celebrating with people we love!

We also explored leaves. The boys had so much fun picking up leaves in our backyard. We read Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf by Lois Ehlert and covered our capital L with leaves.
Next, we turned our lowercase l into a lighthouse.
Henry loved drawing the waves and decorating his lighthouse picture with lots and lots of stickers.
Henry was acting goofy as soon as he saw the camera, but the lighthouse craft turned out really cute! We also read My Very Own Lighthouse by Francisco Cunha. Our last craft project was making paper lanterns.
We read Bringing in the New Year by Grace Lin and celebrated the Chinese New Year a week late!
We even did a cooking project this week. The boys helped Daddy make lemon chicken on the grill, but I must have been hungry because I didn't get a picture of it. We had a great L week!
