Monday was Valentine's Day. We didn't make a big deal out of it this year, but Gene did venture over to the wine fridge to grab a bottle of champagne.
Dom Perignon, perhaps?
Nah! It was a special occasion, but not that special!
We would have celebrated with champagne on Monday night, even if it weren't Valentine's Day,
because we signed a contract on our old house! 
We are still in the option period, but we'll celebrate again when it's over and again on April 1, when we close. Gene's motto is "Celebrate early and often." We need some more half bottles of Korbel though -- or we really will be cracking open the Dom!
