Teddy Bear Checkup

Earlier this week, Will asked to go to the Health Museum. We're members and it had been too long since our last visit. The timing was perfect because the museum was holding its annual Teddy Bear Checkup on Saturday. We grabbed our favorite stuffed friends (Baby and Baby Baxter) and took them to the museum!
The set-up was really cute. First you checked in at Admissions and made an ID tag for your stuffed friend. Then you moved through 8 other stations to talk to real doctors and nurses and learn about healthy living.

At Bear Basics, we weighed and measured the stuffed animals. At Beary Fit, the kids rolled two dice to determine what exercise they had to do and how many times. Henry rolled eight jumping jacks. We learned all about germs at Squeaky Clean and then looked at germs under a black light before scrubbing our hands really well.
The dentists at Tough Teeth were impressed with how well the boys brushed their teeth!
We checked everyone's eyesight at Seeing is Believing. 20-20 all the way around! Our final stop was the Teddy Exam Room to make sure our stuffed friends were healthy. Will checked Baxter's ears. Henry tried, unsuccessfully, to listen to Daddy's heart. Look who showed up for his annual exam!! The boys were thrilled to see Santa!Who knew Santa could give shots too?
Baby and Baby Baxter came away with two clean certificates of health
and the boys had a blast at the Teddy Bear Checkup!

  1. I deny any suggestion that the boys' failure to find my heartbeat proves lawyers have no hearts...
