I didn't take a lot of pictures on Christmas Eve. We had a very relaxing day at home but we did make sure to keep up with all our night-before-Christmas traditions.
Despite the rain, the boys sprinkled reindeer food in the backyard before we left for church. After church, we went over to Nana and Pop's house for a traditional codfish dinner, followed by bilharacos, which are those amazing Portuguese butternut squash doughnuts that we only get on Christmas Eve.
They are finger-lickin' good! After dinner, most of us headed outside for a chilly family picture. Can you tell my boys were tired and goofy by this time? It was way past their bedtime! It was 8:30 before we got home, but we made sure to leave out a plate of cookies and a glass of milk for Santa. And then those boys were nestled snug in their beds while visions of bilharacos danced in their heads!
