Christmas with Gramma and Grampa

This year, we celebrated Christmas with Gramma and Grampa on Friday. We started off with a Christmas carol around the piano. The boys had to wear their superhero capes, of course.
These boys are so ready for a piano of their own.Thank goodness even caped crusaders get to take a break from fighting evil to open Christmas gifts! Opening presents was an all-afternoon affair.New shirt in Will's fave colors. Puzzles for my puzzle-loving boy.New books for the book lover. And wine for the wine lovers! Cordial cherries are a special Christmas treat for my dad. And so is my annual photo book for the grandparents.
We took breaks in between opening gifts to play with some of the new toys. Candy Land was a huge hit with Will! Hot Wheels and Trio together? Perfect for my race-car-loving little builders! Then it was time to light the Christmas candles and sit down for a Mexican feast. Everyone's favorite was the krumkake (a Norwegian waffle-cone-like cookie filled with whipped cream). So yummy!
We had a wonderful Christmas with Gramma and Grampa!
