A Fracture Doesn't Slow Him Down

I took Henry to the orthopedist last week. You can't see a break on his x-rays, but he was in a lot of pain when he got his splint off, so the doctor said we have to treat it like a fracture. And that means a cast! Poor kiddo. It's his wrist and hand that are tender, but the cast extends past his elbow. Apparently if you just put a cast on the wrist, it would slip right off. Henry was excited to get a blue cast (they let him pick what color he wanted).
As you can see, the cast is not slowing Henry down one bit! He and Daddy decided to play ball on Sunday afternoon. Snapping the football: I'm not quite sure how Gene expected Henry to catch the football here. Soccer is a better fit for someone with a hurt arm. We start SoccerTots in two weeks, and I can't wait to get this guy out there playing!
Gene was insistent that Henry try to play football, but this time it actually hit him in the head!
"What you doing, Daddy?"
Gotcha!
A hand-off:
And TACKLE!!!!
Henry's got two more weeks in the cast, but with or without it, this kid is non-stop motion!
