A Day Out with Daddy

Gene has so much travel coming up that he asked if he could take the boys out for a special adventure on Saturday morning, just Daddy and his two boys. I'm not one to say no to some time to myself, so the three guys decided to head to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. You'd think they'd be all museum-ed out after our trip to DC, but apparently you cannot ever spend too much time looking at dinosaur fossils, bugs, and rocket ships! The went to see the Cardboard Rocket show in the Planetarium (again) and also spent time in the Butterfly Center. Then they had special lunch (McDonald's because it's the only choice at the museum and we rarely eat there).
They ate right outside, despite the heat, and this was the view from their tables.
The little boys were fascinated by the statues in DC, so they had to take a closer look at this one of Sam Houston near our museum.
Pretty view, isn't it?
The three of them had so much fun on Saturday!
And I got a little break. Thanks, honey, for a wonderful day!
