It's the End of the Year as We Know It

Summer is almost here but with all the sickness at our house, you would think it is the middle of winter!  In the last two weeks, someone has had strep throat, an antibiotic rash, and now the flu!  I am living in either a petri dish or a pharmacy...

Before the illnesses and in between bouts of feeling bad, we have had some fun celebrating the end of the school year.  Will's buddy Brandon invited him to go see "Superfudge" at Main Street Theater a couple of weeks ago.  What a fun play!  The boys loved it!

Will also celebrated the end of another season of soccer.  We had a fun party for the Monkeys at our house.

Will was excited to get another trophy from Coach Kevin.

As part of a thank you gift, we got our coach a soccer ball signed by all the players.  Will loves soccer and we've made some awesome friends over the two seasons he's played.

Henry's last day of school was this week.
His class celebrated with cookies

and a pinata.

Henry was Teddy of the Day and brought his Richard Scarry matching game in for show and tell.

We gave the teachers gifts of cookies and gift cards.  I found these labels on Pinterest -- I'm one smart cookie, thanks to you!  Perfect.

And Henry's teachers sent us home with a memory book full of pictures and art from his year in the Teddy Bear class.

I've been so focused on trying to get everyone healthy again that it really hasn't hit me that Henry is actually done with school and Will only has eight more days.  We have been so lucky this year with fabulous teachers and sweet classmates, so the end of the school year is definitely bittersweet.  But, as long as I can say goodbye to these nasty germs, I say bring on summer!
