Book Characters Come Alive!

For the last couple of weeks, Henry's class has been working on their Characters Come Alive project. Do you remember when Will was in kindergarten and did this project? There are a lot of projects in kindergarten, but this is my favorite!

All the kids chose a book, studied the main idea and created a poster or retold the story using props. Henry's chose The Woods by Paul Hoppe, which is a sweet story about finding friends in unusual places and conquering one's fears.

For their presentations, the kids got to dress up as the character from their story, and on Friday, all the parents were invited to the class to see what the students had done. 

Henry got to wear his costume all day, so I snapped a few more pictures after school.

What a fun kindergarten project!
