Museums

There are so many benefits to living in town, but one of the best is the proximity to the Museum District. My boys love the museums!

A couple of weeks ago, we had our spring parent-teacher conference at Henry's school. Gene was off from work, so we both went. Afterwards, we treated Henry to lunch at the Cafe Express at the MFAH and then walked down to the Children's Museum. Henry made a sand-covered butterfly that we accidentally left at the museum.
We "planted" seeds

and went fishing in the new Cum Yah Gullah exhibit,

and for the very first time we built this arch.
On Friday, both boys were off from school so we headed out to the science museum.

Most of the dinosaurs have already been moved to the new paleo hall, but fortunately, my boys don't mind. They are currently enamored of the energy and chemistry halls, and of course, the butterfly center is always a favorite!
I love that these two munchkins are always up for a museum visit!
