Easter Weekend, Part I

We had such a busy, fun-filled Easter weekend. The boys didn't have school on Friday and Gene got off from work early, so we all went on a long bike ride and then grilled out!
Salmon with fresh dill from the herb garden and veggie kabobs. Delish.

We spent Saturday with my parents in Kingwood. The boys were so excited when they heard that the Easter bunny had been by and left a special Easter egg scavenger hunt for them.

Will read the clues at each stop.

There were eggs under the fig tree,

in the mailbox,

next to the shower,

and out by the roses.
The boys found eggs and other goodies like this "bunny buck."

After the very fun scavenger hunt, the boys munched on chocolate and played for awhile before we decided to use up some pent-up energy and go for a long bike ride, during which Will and I managed to get slightly turned around on the trails! We returned just in time for a delicious feast in the dining room. Desert was on the back deck.
Chocolate cake + two little boys = a yummy mess!
We had very chocolate-y, very yummy start to our Easter weekend. Thanks, Gramma and Grampa!
