A Weekend Adventure: Camping at Huntsville State Park

We spent the weekend camping with our Cub Scout buddies at Huntsville State Park. Even though we've had the warmest winter on record, we got lucky with beautiful, cool weather all weekend long! We haven't spent nearly enough time outside this "winter," so we all thoroughly enjoyed getting outdoors.

We walked down to the fishing pier, but we left our fishing poles at home.

Huntsville State Park is so beautiful.

The Scouts started working on their STEM "Out of this World" badge; we even had a star party after the campfire!

While Henry was learning about constellations, Will was working on making a case for his pocketknife, just like the one Gene made when he was a kid!

Playing in the dirt!

Sunday morning hike with Henry's den

We found lots of fallen trees and critters to investigate.

The Bears were required to hike one mile, but we completed a nearly three-mile loop.

Here's to more outdoor adventuring in the near future!
