Lately:The Astros, a Birthday, and Fathers & Flashlights

Have you been watching baseball? After a dismal ten years for the Houston Astros, our baseball team is back in the playoffs this year! The boys had a rare Wednesday holiday a couple of weeks ago and the Astros were playing at 1:05 pm, so we picked up Gene from work and headed to Minute Maid Park for our first game this season! Go 'Stros!

Gene's birthday was last week. He was out of town on the actual day, so we celebrated a day late with dinner at Tiny's. Happy birthday, Geno!

We got him a "Tech Support" t-shirt because he is our tech guy at home! Unfortunately, tech support has not yet figured out why our TV is not working.

Last weekend was the annual Fathers and Flashlights campout on the school grounds. This event raises money for our city's parks and is always so much fun for the kids and dads (and the moms too, as we a night out with girlfriends!). The weather was perfect too with a low around 60 and a high around 80.

We found this crazy mustached spy in our house on Sunday afternoon.

And we also to set up some of our Halloween decor.

Henry found a blue jay feather outside.

Halloween is right around the corner!

October is one of our busiest months, but there is so much fun this time of year, from birthday celebrations and campouts to crisp mornings and Halloween costumes. I hope your October is off to a fantastic start!
