11

Will turned 11 years old last Friday, and we spent the whole weekend celebrating our soon-to-be-middle-schooler.

Will was up early because he actually had to spend his birthday morning at Kinkaid for Fast Start, the sixth grade orientation. He came downstairs to a happy birthday banner and stack of presents.

Henry made Will a birthday card and filled a green paper sack with confetti, which he sprinkled over Will as he opened each gift.

And then we were off to Kinkaid for orientation. While Will was at Fast Start, Henry and I got his books, set up his locker, ran a bunch of errands and stopped by Nana and Pop's to say hi. After Fast Start, Gene met us at Nana and Pop's and we all went to lunch at Buff Burger to celebrate our 11-year-old.

After going back to Kinkaid to finish setting up his locker, Will spent the rest of the afternoon playing his new video game. And then it was birthday dinner at Tokyohana!

This year, Will decided to forgo a birthday party with friends and just have family celebrations, so on Saturday, we headed up to Humble to Will's other favorite restaurant, Humble City Cafe. The boys still love their stewed apples!

And then on Sunday, we were back at Nana and Pop's for the family birthday celebration.

Happy 11th birthday to my sweet, smart, funny boy!
