Our new piano arrived yesterday! I don't know who was more excited -- the boys or Mommy?? They started banging on it right away.
I haven't played in probably over twenty years but I printed out sheet music for Fur Elise and was pleasantly surprised to find that playing the piano is a lot like riding a bike. It took a bit of practice (okay, a lot of practice) but I can play the song through. I am definitely rusty but my boys loved my "beautiful music." (Obviously, they don't have much to compare it to!) It's only been 12 hours but I am already loving having a piano in our home.
Next up on the agenda is finding a piano teacher. Will is itching to start lessons!
