March is full of birthdays and birthday celebrations in our family. On Sunday, we went over to Nana and Pop's house to celebrate the March birthdays (Henry, Jess, and Michael) but unfortunately, Mike's whole family was under the weather and couldn't make it. That just meant that Henry celebrated his birthday for the fourth day in a row. The poor kid has a rough life, huh?
These pictures are all from after dinner. Apparently Gene's grandfather used to make bull nose rings after they ate. Goofball #1.
Monkey see, monkey do.
Goofball #2.
The two of them were funny looking for sure!
Then it was cake time! Nana had made little cakes for each birthday boy/girl.
The kid has the whole making-a-wish-and-blowing-the-candle-out down pat!
Such a good cake!
Nana and Pop got Henry more Magformers. He'd asked for more because apparently there is no such thing as too many Magformers!
On Tuesday, my dad had a big birthday.
We celebrated at our house. My dad asked for lasagna for dinner, and we added a four-bean salad and Gene's homemade ciabatta (my dad's favorite bread). For dessert, we had a yellow cake with peanut butter frosting.
Happy birthday, Grampa! We enjoyed celebrating with you!
Our family birthday celebrations may be over for now, but the boys have three birthday parties on the docket this weekend. March madness, indeed!
